For the past 2-3 years I have been using Foxit PDF reader, not Acrobat Reader. With it, I have browsed, read, and printed hundereds of PDF documents during course work and research. Just a few days ago, Foxit Reader 3.0 was released. I would like to share why Foxit Reader is better than Adobe Acrobat.
Green – Due to its zooming and page rotation capabilities — it saves paper when printing. Acrobat can print 2 pages on one sheet, but it can’t zoom to make the text as large as possible.
Small – Installed it is 6mb compared to 76mb, it also starts up about 10x faster than Acrobat
Lean – It has tabs like Firefox, saving screen space, and memory, the new version comes with a browser plugin loads much faster than acrobat
